Gartnergården began with a dream of selling its own strawberries while also promoting local growers by offering their delicious vegetables. However, the owners, Mattias and Pil, were quickly driven by an eagerness to further develop Gartnergården due to the strong support from customers and the community around them. They wanted more than just fruit and vegetables, and soon expanded with an interior design department, a café, and a new kitchen/bakery.
Gartnergården has now established Gartnergården Djurs, which operates, among other things, as a drive‑in for take‑away food, but is based on the same platform and business concept as Gartnergården Aarhus.
